“Power” Season 6 is going to be filled with intense moments following the finale of the recent installment. Showrunner Courtney Kemp previously said that the characters in the crime drama series aren’t safe from the plotline’s development.
And judging by how season 5 turned out to be, Kemp’s sentiment is right on the money. Audiences already saw that Kanan (Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson III) was killed off after Tasha betrayed him. And in the finale, Tommy (Joseph Sikora) was seen gunning down Angela (Lela Loren) as she tried shielding Ghost (Omari Hardwick). How will this play out in “Power” Season 6?
While it may seem that Angela died following the shooting incident, Kemp told TV Line that she will be returning in “Power” Season 6. However, the showrunner didn’t disclose any details on how Angela will process Tommy’s attempted murder.
Given that Angela works for the Assistant U.S. Attorney’s Office, it’s likely that Tommy will have to start looking over his shoulder in the next installment. “Power” Season 6 will also expound on the fact that Ghost manipulated Tommy into killing his father, Tony Teresi (William Sadler).
The recent finale episode saw Saxe (Shane Johnson) explaining to Tommy the details about his father’s snitching. While Teresi did let out information regarding Sandoval’s (David Fumero) murder, his old man made sure he played no part in it. Instead, Teresi pinned the crime on Ghost.
After learning of the deceit, Tommy – being the emotional character that he is – went looking for his friend and found him talking to Angela. It goes without saying that the plotline of “Power” Season 6 will move the narrative near its end, seeing how everything unfolded.
The question now is, will “Power” Season 6 be the last installment of the crime drama series? Courtney Kemp didn’t disclose information regarding this matter but did say the story is nearing its conclusion. However, the showrunner previously stated that she’s eyeing season 7 as the final season of the show.
“Power” Season 6 has not yet been given an air date, as the previous installment just recently ended. But if the network follows its release pattern, the crime drama series will likely return in June or July 2019.
