Many fans can expect a ton of exciting developments in “Outlander” Season 5 and among them is the prospective impact that the brewing American Revolution will have on the characters. After the events of the previous season, one would think that the Frasers deserve to live out their lives peacefully in their new home. However, this is not meant to be and family loyalties will be tested in the upcoming installment.
As the Daily Express reports, Caitriona Balfe who plays Claire Fraser recently posted details on social media with regards to “Outlander” Season 5. It would appear that production for the upcoming season is in full swing and things are progressing smoothly. In response to her post, fans have been sending replies about how they want the production to be over so they can watch more episodes.
This is entirely understandable, especially considering what the upcoming season has in store. Basically, “Outlander” Season 5 will be adapting the fifth book in the novel series that the show is based on. Titled “The Fiery Cross,” it is expected to involve a lot of challenges for the Frasers as they try to live their new lives in America.
Unfortunately for them, there is a conflict brewing between their current home and their old one, with the shadow of the American Revolution looming over them. There will even be a need for Jamie (Sam Heughan) to raise an actual army in “Outlander” Season 5. Suffice it to say, this is not going to be a smooth ride at all for the family.
As for when “Outlander” Season 5 will be premiering, the specific date has yet to be revealed. However, considering that production has only just started, the show likely will not return until next year. Considering what it has in store for fans, though, a longer production time would be ideal.
