After several weeks of delay, fans are now just a few days away from the release of “One Piece” chapter 992. Early leaks and spoilers for the upcoming chapter suggest the wait will be worth it as Kaido’s fight against the Scabbards continues. Black Maria is also reportedly coming back and might join the action in Onigashima.
Kaido vs. Scabbard continues; Izu, Kiku counter
The latest chapter ended with Kaido deciding that he would directly tackle the Scabbards. The battle started with Kaido attacking with a fire breath, which Kin’emon easily countered, and it will reportedly continue in “One Piece” chapter 992.
Early “One Piece” chapter 992 leaks are now available on various online discussions indicating that it will pick up from the latest events in the manga. Kaido does not seem stunned with Kin’emon and will reportedly attack the Scabbards with a “lightning technique.”
Sources of the leaks do not specify which attack Kaido will use in “One Piece” chapter 992 or if it is the same as his known technique called the Thunder Bagua. It was the same attack Kaido used against Luffy’s Gear Fourth earlier in the Wano Kuni arc.
While Thunder Bagua easily knocked out Luffy, “One Piece” chapter 992 spoilers seem to indicate that it would not cause serious damages on the Scabbards. Kiku is reported to counter Kaido with her own “snow-based” attack while Izo uses a gun against the Beasts Pirates leader.
Black Maria finally returns in ‘One Piece’ chapter 992
One of the most interesting aspects of the Wano Kuni arc is getting to know the powerful members of the Beast Pirates. In the arc’s recent chapters, the Tobi Roppo was finally introduced but some of them have yet to demonstrate their power.
Luckily, the leaks hint at Black Maria’s much-awaited return. “One Piece” chapter 992 is expected to mostly cover the fight between Scabbards and Kaido, so it is still unknown if Black Maria will reveal her powers, too.
‘One Piece’ chapter 992 release date
The release of “One Piece” chapter 992 has been delayed for a couple of weeks after it was confirmed that series creator Eiichiro Oda got sick. On the bright side, his health condition has reportedly gotten better and the next chapter is now confirmed to be released in the next issue of Weekly Shonen Jump that will be released earlier than usual.
Fans outside Japan can read “One Piece” chapter 992 through its official digital release on VIZ Shonen Jump and Manga Plus websites on Friday, Oct. 16. Both platforms also have free mobile apps where new chapters of “One Piece” are released for free.
