“One Piece” chapter 989 leaks indicate it is going to be a major installment, especially for manga fans who have been hoping to see an epic panel with the Straw Hat crew back together in action. Jinbe also joins the battle and his first move is attacking Big Mom while Luffy finds Zoro and they immediately go after Kaido.
‘One Piece’ chapter 989 features Jinbe attacking Big Mom
Big Mom was last seen getting knocked out after Franky drove an automobile into her but, as expected, the Yonko would not sustain any serious damage. She will be up again without any scratch and ready to fight the Straw Hats in “One Piece” chapter 989.
Nami will warn Franky and tells him to run away from Big Mom, according to the “One Piece” chapter 989 leaks. However, Franky is not afraid and ready to attack Big Mom with a beam. But three more Numbers show up to help the Yonko. It is during this interaction that Linlin reveals the Numbers are defective “Ancient Giants” that Kaido procured from Punk Hazard.
The Numbers will keep Franky busy as they go after Usopp and Chopper, so Big Mom attempts to attack a preoccupied Franky. Luckily, Jinbe arrives just in time in “One Piece” chapter 989 to stop his former ally by holding her arm down and pinning her to the ground. Robin follows up by sending multiple arms to throw Big Mom away to the other side of the place. Jinbe warns that Big Mom will certainly bounce back in an even angrier state. Leaks suggest Franky will then start assembling the “Franky Shougun.”
‘One Piece’ chapter 989: Luffy, Zoro go after Kaido but encounters Queen
While the other members of Straw Hats are busy with Big Mom and the Numbers, Luffy goes after Kaido. He finds Zoro, who then helps him fly up to the roof where the Yonko is. However, Queen and other Gifters catch up with the duo and throws them back to the ground away from Kaido.
“One Piece” chapter 989 will also show Sanji recovering from King’s attack, luckily, the Raid Suit protected him so he is ready to fight again. The leaked scans of the next chapter show the final pages will include an epic spread showing the complete crew of Straw Hat pirates with their game faces on. Chapter 989 will be released online for free on Sunday, Sept. 6 (in ET time zone) through Manga Plus and Shonen Jump.
