Fans who have been reading the manga already know that Luffy will eventually defeat Katakuri after a lengthy battle that involves Luffy introducing a new Gear Fourth form. However, it was interesting to see Luffy throw everything but the kitchen sink at Katakuri in “One Piece” Episode 855.
“One Piece” Episode 855 is already out on all Anime Streaming sites, and Luffy happens to use some moves he didn’t even try in the source material like the Hawk Twin Pistol, Grizzly Corkscrew Magnum, and Eagle Bazooka.
Katakuri continued to throw Luffy around with his Mochi Mochi no Mi powers and his ability to see slightly into the future, but he’s slowing down in “One Piece” Episode 855 as he struggles to defeat Luffy. Meanwhile, Doflamingo made an appearance as well in a flashback as he talked about the rare phenomenon of "awakening," while Reiju, Yonji, Ichiji, and Niji took out the Big Mom Pirates who were pursuing them.
At the end of “One Piece” Episode 855, Katakuri seemed to have finally defeated Luffy, but the fight will continue in the next episode. “One Piece” Episode 856 is scheduled to arrive on Oct. 7, and the preview hints that Luffy is going to see Katakuri expose his face while eating. Manga readers know that Katakuri will become enraged and kill everyone nearby once that happens so they can’t talk about the scars on his face.
Katakuri happens to be very insecure about his face, and he keeps it hidden from others. However, he will eventually show his face to his sister Flampe after she interferes in his fight with Luffy. The fight scenes in “One Piece” Episode 855 are actioned packed, but things are about to get serious once Katakuri removes the scarf that has been covering his mouth the entire time they have been fighting.
