There a couple of possible stories to unfold in “One Piece” chapter 914. For one, Luffy might finally be reunited with the rest of the Straw Hat pirates. Meanwhile, Zoro could soon be using the Nidai Kitetsu in upcoming battles.
Luffy Reunited with the Straw Hats
At the beginning of the Wano arc, Luffy got separated from the other crewmates of the Straw Hat pirates. But, obviously, it was Eiichiro Oda’s way to let Luffy have a unique exploration of Wano. The arc continues in “One Piece” chapter 914, but some hope that the Straw Hat Pirates will be finally reunited especially since they now have real enemies.
Chapter 913 was an exciting one since it included a good battle between Zoro and Luffy against Basil Hawkins. Later, the power of Hawkins’ Devil Fruit was revealed. But that was merely an introduction of what his Devil Fruit does. So it is possible that more information about Hawkins’ power will be cited in “One Piece” chapter 914.
After meeting and fighting Hawkins, it is safe to assume that Luffy is getting closer to facing Kaido — Hawkins’ boss and the likely major enemy in the Wano arc. But Luffy obviously needs help. Of course, somewhere along the way, he will surely find his crewmates but another group of pirates is expected to show up in “One Piece” chapter 914.
Trafalgar Law and the Heart Pirates
Trafalgar Law’s Heart pirates were included on the last page of chapter 913. Their dialogue was brief but they appeared to be surprised in finding the Straw Hats in Wano. Many believe that this is a hint of their appearance in “One Piece” chapter 914 and major role in the Wano arc.
There are two possibilities that involve the Heart pirates. First, they might find Nami, Sanji, Brook, and Chopper first then set out to find Luffy. But there is also a chance that the Heart pirates will get to Luffy first, before planning against Kaido and finding the rest of the Straw Hats.
Zoro Will Wield the Nidai Kitetsu?
Meanwhile, chapter 913 also hinted that Zoro is highly interested in using the Nidai Kitetsu. It can be recalled from chapter 912 that swordsmith Tengu was against Luffy bringing the said sword because it is believed to be cursed. However, Luffy still brought it with him and Zoro took notice of it while they were fighting Hawkins.
Since “One Piece” chapter 914 is expected to begin without any fights or tension, Zoro might finally have enough time to examine the Nidai Kitetsu. And since Zoro is not the type to worry about cursed swords, there is a big chance that he will be using the high-grade sword in upcoming battles in Wano.
As confirmed in chapter 913, the manga series is hitting a one-week of hiatus once more. This means that “One Piece” chapter 914 will be officially released on Aug. 20.
