Like many tech companies, Nvidia is anticipated to have a few more surprises before 2019 ends. One of the most reported upcoming Nvidia products is the GeForce GTX 1660 Super, especially this week as another source claimed it will debut on a set of new ASUS graphics cards.
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super release date rumors
The Super version of GeForce GTX 1660 has been one of the recurring products on many Nvidia rumor reports over the recent months. With the final quarter of the year approaching, industry sources have further claimed that the graphics card will be released sometime in October.
Latest reports on Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super came from VideoCardz. Its sources within the ASUS headquarters purportedly confirmed that the tech manufacturer is launching three new graphics cards under its Dual Evo, Phoenix, and TUF3 lineups. However, neither Nvidia nor ASUS has addressed the rumors, so it is still best to take these reports with a pinch of salt.
On the other hand, it is understandable if tech fans are already expecting the release of Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super. The graphics card has been a rumor mill regular for several months now, and various sources have been saying the same information about its specs.
The GeForce GTX 1660 Super is reportedly based on Nvidia’s Turing microarchitecture best known for specializing on real-time ray tracing. However, most of its specs and configurations are reportedly similar to the base GTX1660 model. The reported upgrade lies in the memory department. The Super version is expected to have a GDDR6 RAM with 14 GB capacity – the base counterpart only has an 8GB RAM on GDDR5.
Nvidia shares expected to win over AMD, Intel by October
The final quarter of the year is essentially a holiday season, and it is commonly believed to drive up sales for various markets and industries. Goldman Sachs reportedly eyes Nvidia to be the biggest winner among the top three microprocessor makers by next month.
Goldman rates Nvidia shares as a good for buying with the forecast that its value would rise from $179 to $192 by next month. Nvidia’s gaming department is anticipated to make the prediction happen.
