“Now You See Me 3” remains on the radar of many moviegoers despite the lack of recent updates on its production. Fans might be hoping there would be no major changes, especially in the third film’s cast, given that it has been more than three years since the second title was released.
‘Now You See Me 3’ cast: Who could return for another magical illusion-riddled heist?
It would be difficult to be excited about “Now You See Me 3” without the Four Horsemen intact. The next heist built on magical illusion should bring back Danny Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg), Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson), Jack Wilder (Dave Franco), Lula May (Lizzy Caplan), and their leader Dylan Rhodes/Shrike (Mark Ruffalo).
These characters are practically the foundation of the entire movie series, so it is safe to expect their return in “Now You See Me 3.” However, fans may also recall that the series is not new to having a major casting change. The departure of Henley Reeves (Isla Fisher) was what made Lula’s introduction in the sequel possible. Lula eventually became a worthy member of the group and Jack’s girlfriend.
However, the series did not do well with romance arcs in the first two films. Henley and Danny’s breakup happened offscreen, which became the explanation as to why Fisher’s character did not return. Dylan’s romance with French Interpol agent Alma Dray (Mélanie Laurent) was not even mentioned in the second film. But, so far, there is no reason to worry about either Lula or Jack not coming back in “Now You See Me 3.”

Maintaining the core cast members of the series could be one of the reasons why the production and release date of “Now You See Me 3” has yet to be announced. The mentioned actors are known for other popular movie and TV franchises, which means they all have very busy schedules.
Meanwhile, the plot for “Now You See Me 3” could very much dictate the list of new characters. While the second movie ended with a satisfying conclusion for its own storyline, there are many things to be explored, especially about The Eye. This and an all-new heist could open the chances to include big Hollywood names, like Benedict Cumberbatch, in the third movie.
