Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) posted strong traffic results for June 2025, recording its highest number of passengers and load factor for the month since the onset of the pandemic. The carrier reported a load factor of 88.4%, up four percentage points from June 2024, reflecting increased demand and more efficient seat utilization across its network.
While the airline’s available seat kilometers (ASK) dipped slightly by 0.2% year-over-year, total revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) rose to 3,268 million. This growth in RPK, despite the stable ASK, highlights stronger occupancy rates and operational performance.
Norwegian emphasized that June's figures represent the best traffic performance for the month in the post-COVID era, signaling a sustained recovery in European air travel. The improved load factor indicates that more travelers are returning to the skies, contributing to the airline’s ongoing rebound and competitive positioning.
As the aviation industry continues to navigate fluctuating demand and operational challenges, Norwegian Air’s solid performance in June underscores its strategic recovery and focus on efficient capacity management. The airline remains a key player in the Nordic and European markets, with its latest results boosting investor confidence and reinforcing its market resilience.
These positive trends come as the broader airline industry looks to maintain momentum amid seasonal demand shifts and evolving travel patterns. Norwegian’s performance suggests it is well-positioned to capitalize on summer travel demand while maintaining cost-effective operations.
