Viewers will see a familiar face from “General Hospital” appear in an upcoming episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 10 later this month.
Kathleen Gati has confirmed that she’s going to make a guest appearance in “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 10 Episode 5 on Sunday, Oct. 28. The award-winning actress is known for portraying Liesl Obrecht on the long-running daytime soap opera “General Hospital,” but she has actually appeared in an episode of NCIS in the past.
“Gati appeared in a two-part episode of the original NCIS back in 2008 playing a Russian hooker named Svetlana Chenitzkaya. Svetlana Chenitskaya was the handler and fiance of a former KGB hitman and current Russian arms dealer, Anatoly Zhukov. Svetlana was also responsible for sending four hitmen after former Agent William Decker (Marc Vahanian) and NCIS Director Jennifer Shepard (Lauren Holly). The attacks led to the deaths of both Decker and Shepard. Svetlana herself was also killed,” Dustin Cushman wrote in his report for Soaps.com.
Obviously, Gati won’t be portraying Svetlana Chenitzkaya in “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 10 Episode 5 since that character is already dead. Instead, Soap Opera News has reported that she’s going to play a judge named Jessica Lee.
Of course, Gati’s not the only “General Hospital” cast member to appear on “NCIS.” Jon Lindstrom, Hayley Erin, and Vinessa Antoine have guest starred as well in recent years.
Meanwhile, NCIS: Los Angeles Season 10 Episode is scheduled to air on Oct. 7. Titled “Superhuman,” the episode will feature the team searching for the person who stole a tactical assault suit and used it in a jewelry heist in Beverly Hills.
Veteran actor Gerald McRaney will guest star as a retired Navy Admiral named Hollace Kilbride in the episode, and he will be leading the team temporarily while Mosely (Nia Long) and Hetty (Linda Hunt) face repercussions after the unsanctioned mission in Mexico.
