NBC is bidding on an NBA package that would include playoff games to air on its broadcast network more than 20 years after it lost its rights to ESPN and Turner.
The broadcasting firm is also seeking to air some regular season games exclusively on Peacock.
Amazon and Apple are also among the interested bidders in streaming packages.
The NBA cannot engage formally with non-incumbent bidders until April 2024, though TNT and ESPN could waive their exclusive negotiation windows.
The NBA's current deal with ESPN and TNT expires after the 24-25 season. The three parties reached an extension in 2014 without opening talks with outside bidders.
