Retail giant Shinsegae Group's beauty select shop chain, Chicor, will showcase smart mirrors powered by AI technology dubbed the ‘Zmirror’ in a pop-up store to help customers choose their ideal skincare products.
The smart mirrors, which have a built-in camera and an under-the-mirror display, will diagnose their customer’s skin conditions, checking for dark circles, wrinkles, and elasticity to come up with recommendations for customers.
The recommended products will be sourced from the cosmetics brand Onoma’s lineup offered at Shinsegae Department Store.
Chicor's pop-up store, which it would initially open in Daejeon, would be divided into an experience zone and a sales zone.
The experience zone helps customers diagnose and analyze their skin through smart mirrors before recommending suitable skincare products in the sales zone.
Shinsegae said that the smart mirror service will be available in other stores later.
