When it comes to “NBA 2K20,” the game is basically expected to continue the tradition of the franchise of providing players with the fantasy of controlling their favorite athletes. This is why the title throws in things like rookie ratings in order to make the whole thing a bit more realistic. With that being the case, NBA prospect Ja Morant wants his ratings to be 99 but expects that it will be around 82.
The prospect made a comment via social media in response to a fan, VGR recently reported. Of course, getting a 99 rating in “NBA 2K20” would certainly be nice, but it’s also impossible. There is no point to rating rookies that high, especially considering how the games try to mimic the real world where possible. This is why Ja Morant’s expectation of hovering around 82 would be more accurate.
In the real world, his ratings would be quite a bit lower than in “NBA 2K20,” simply because this has always been the case. While many have acknowledged his abilities as a point guard, there are also several aspects to the ratings that make such a high figure improbable. In fact, even the prospect with the best chance of getting the best ratings, Zion Williamson is unlikely to go that high.
For some context, 2018 did not see any rookie go over 79 regardless of how talented they were. This is why Jo Morant wishing for a 99 in “NBA 2K20” would be going overboard if it was ever made a reality. On that note, there are actually examples of the prospect having an 81, so this should be a more realistic approach.
So, when exactly, can players expect “NBA 2K20” to come out? As of right now, September of this year is the best that is on offer. A more specific date should be provided as the launch nears.
