“My Hero Academia Movie 2” is creating all sorts of buzz on the anime community following its announcement at the Plus Ultra Stage a few months ago. As of this writing, nothing is known about the film as everyone involved in its production is keeping everything under wraps.
Even the release date of “My Hero Academia Movie 2” is still up for debate as it’s still unclear whether it’ll come out this year or on the first quarter of 2020. All that’s been revealed is that the film will hit the theatres this coming Winter.
And that’s Winter in Japan, mind you. That means “My Hero Academia Movie 2” could drop sometime between December 2019 and March 2020. That’s alright, though. With the fourth season of the anime dropping this coming October, it’ll be enough content to ferry fans over to 2020. And then some, IGN reported.
The people involved in the making of My Hero Academia Movie 2
“My Hero Academia Movie 2” is in good hands already as manga creator Kohei Horikoshi will spearhead its production similar to what’s been done with the first film. The author will also provide new character designs for the movie, which will prove to be popular among fans, especially those who are avid toy collectors.
Meanwhile, Kenji Nagasaki will be returning to the director’s chair for “My Hero Academia Movie 2,” while Yosuke Kuroda will oversee its screenplay. Yuuki Hayashi and Yoshihiko Umakoshi will handle the soundtrack and character design, respectively. Both Hayashi and Umakoshi are heavily involved in the anime’s creation, solidifying the creators’ intent at delivering yet another gripping film for the audiences to enjoy, Crunchyroll reported.
My Hero Academia Movie 2 set to overtake the first film’s popularity
“My Hero Academia Movie 2” being greenlighted by the bigwigs isn’t surprising given the success of the first film. And with the anime and manga as popular as ever, Horikoshi and the rest of the team are eager to take advantage of the series’ popularity.
As for the plot, nothing has been leaked so far. One thing is certain, however. “My Hero Academia Movie 2” will be hard-pressed at surpassing the first film. But with the aforementioned individuals at the helm, then there’s a huge change that this will be another epic story that fans will talk about for years.
