The previous chapter of the manga series resulting in the defeat of class 1-A’s Momo Yaoyorozu, “My Hero Academia” 202 will see Todoroki finally getting his turn. Suffice it to say, the odds of winning the watch are in his favor, which is why fans are predicting that 1-B is likely going to be gunning for him first. If the young dual-quirk user has managed to master his fire powers, it might give him a significant advantage.
In a preview for “My Hero Academia” 202 that was briefly posted over at Reddit before being deleted, it was clear that Todoroki no longer has any issues activated both his ice and his fire quirk. This is basically what made him superior to his father, Endeavor, who suffers from overheating if he uses his quirk too much.
As such, he is now much more capable as a hero than he was when he first started going to UA. This is also what makes him a significantly bigger threat to the team from 1-B that he and his teammates will be facing. Building on this idea, some fans are speculating that much of “My Hero Academia” 202 will be about 1-B trying to take out Todoroki from the start.
Then again, with 1-A’s top combat powerhouse being out of the spotlight for a while, Todoroki might just pull some fancy new moves in this match. Some fans are hoping he can control his fire quirk similar to how his father can make actual objects out of his. This would make “My Hero Academia” 202 the debut for the new Todoroki.
On that note, there is still a chance that 1-A could lose this match if the predictions of fans over at Mangahelpers Forum come true. Some Japanese outlets are even forecasting a 4-0 result, with four being in 1-B’s favor. If so, it would teach 1-A a harsh lesson, especially if “My Hero Academia” 202 sees Todoroki losing.
“My Hero Academia” 202 is scheduled for release on Oct. 13. Readers can find out then just how accurate these predictions are.
