“La Casa de Papel” is a Spanish crime drama that was canceled in the country’s local network Antena 3 just after two seasons. But it saw its new-found popularity when it was released by the American streaming site provider in 2017. Netflix bought the rights to air it on its platform, and it was retitled to “Money Heist.”
The last drama installment
Now the drama is already on its fifth season, which was also reported to be its last run. Despite its massive popularity, the series has no more story to allow it to continue. Fans may be heartbroken to hear this, but it is inevitable because the plot has already reached its end, and it could not be extended anymore.
Netflix announced the conclusion of the drama via “Money Heist” season 5 when it renewed the show in July. In any case, prior to this post on social media, show creator Alex Pina also mentioned something about the series’ conclusion, so it was confirmed the show will be over after the fifth installment.
“We’ve spent almost a year thinking about how to break up the band,” The Hollywood Reporter quoted the show creator as saying. “How to put the Professor on the ropes and how to get into situations that are irreversible for many characters.”
Fans should brace for extreme action as they are preparing for the intense turn of events as the battle between the authorities and the gang intensifies to the highest level, and there is no turning back.
“The war reaches its most extreme and savage levels, but it is also the most epic and exciting season,” Pina explained.
Plot predictions - Death of the characters
As per Express, the “Money Heist” season 5 will show many deaths of the main characters, especially those who are part of the gang that is being led by El Professor. In particular, it was predicted that Palermo (Rodrigo de la Serna) and Rio (Miguel Herran) will be gone before the show reaches the finale.
Moreover, it was also predicted that Denver will meet their end in “Money Heist” season 5. On Reddit, fans shared that he is one of the characters that will surely die, saying: “Denver had told Monica that he would jump in front of a bullet for her and Denver would actually die.”
