Fans are clamoring for “Money Heist” season 5, and they clearly expressed their wish not long after the fourth installment was dropped early this month. The season ended with many people in the team being hurt or dying, plus they are still surrounded by the police, so it was really a nerve-wracking ending.
Has Netflix renewed the heist drama yet?
What’s on Netflix reported that although there is no renewal notice from the streaming provider yet, it is expected to be greenlighted soon. It also cited the fact that the story is not yet over as another reason why it will be renewed.
Furthermore, it mentioned that “La Casa de Papel” creator and his team already shared a few times before that they have plans to do “Money Heist” season 5 and possibly more seasons after this. While show creator Alex Pina admitted that they have yet to receive approval from Netflix, he said that he heard the news that they will get it soon.
“Someone knows there will be a fifth season, but we don't," he told ABC, a Spanish publication. “There were discussions about it but there is no official decision as of this time.”
Theories and plot predictions - Who will die next?
“Money Heist” season 5 may be heartbreaking as the previous seasons as fans theorized that deaths of the characters would continue since this is something inevitable given the nature of the story. It is about a crime, and the authorities are hunting down the culprits, so getting injured, arrested, and dying are sure to happen.
So far, four members of the heist group have died already, and this includes Nairobi (Alba Flores), Roberto Garcia (Oslo), Moscow (Paco Tous), and Berlin (Pedro Alonso). Now, Express reported that fans predicted that the next death would be a major character that no one saw coming.
It was suggested that El Professor (Alvaro Morte) will meet his end in “Money Heist” season 5, and the hint was shown in the finale of the fourth season. Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) was pointing a gun on El Professor’s head and the next scene could show her pulling the trigger in an unthinkable twist.
“Money Heist” season 5 has no release date yet but it is predicted to return in 2021.
