“Modern Family” Season 10 Episode 5 is going to celebrate this year’s Halloween, but the Dunphy-Pritchett-Tucker clan will be getting more than goosebumps. As per the logline of the upcoming episode, the gang will receive “unexpected” news that is speculated to be a heartbreaking one.
This assumption stems from co-creator Christopher Lloyd hinting that a character might be getting killed in this installment. Although he hasn’t disclosed when exactly the character’s death is going to occur, there is a possibility that it will be in “Modern Family” Season 10 Episode 5, Hollywood Life reported.
“We’re handling some bigger life events in this season,” Lloyd explained. “We do deal with a death, which is certainly a topic that families have to deal with, and on television, it’s not easy to do because that’s a heavy subject. But at the same time, it would seem unusual for a family not to go through it.”
Although there’s no certainty that this death might happen in “Modern Family” Season 10 Episode 5, there’s still the chance that Lloyd will throw a curveball in the audience’s direction.
After all, plot twists are a common occurrence in television shows nowadays. And with Lloyd saying that the character’s absence will be a pivotal one for the show, viewers are left to guess who exactly has been written out. Some have speculated that it’s going to be Stella the dog but Jesse Ferguson – the actor playing Mitchell – confirms that it’s a person that is going to be leaving the series. If this event doesn’t occur in “Modern Family” Season 10 Episode 5, then it’s possible that it will provide some clue as to when exactly it will happen.
So is this death going to involve a main cast member? There’s a small chance that it will, although some fans are pointing at Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen) as the character has been diagnosed with a heart condition called Wolff-Parkinson-White-syndrome. Those who have been racking their brains about this development can just watch “Modern Family” Season 10 Episode 5 as it’s slated to air tonight.
