Ministop is bringing some Okinawan treats to the whole of Japan thanks to their Okinawa Fair campaign.
One of the collection's primary attractions is the purple sweet potato mont blanc with beni-imo mousse.
There's also the sweet potato dessert with almonds and white chocolate, as well as the beni-imo chiffon cake and the purple sweet potato croissant.
The sata andagi, a deep-fried confection akin to a doughnut, is another popular Okinawan dessert. These are flavored with Okinawan brown sugar in Ministop's version.
Okinawan cuisine is generally disregarded by Japanese food connoisseurs, although it offers a unique and diverse menu of delicacies due to the island's distinct history and environment.
