Reports have it that Michael Schumacher is continuously recuperating from the aftermath of his 2013 skiing accident. Meanwhile, in the world of F1 racing, Lewis Hamilton recently matched Schumacher’s record of Italian Grand Prix wins.
The family of Schumacher maintains their decision to prevent any news about the F1 legend’s health recovery from coming out. But a recent report from the France-based magazine Paris Match published bits of information allegedly from relatives who have been visiting Schumacher.
According to the insiders, Michael Schumacher is going through daily therapy sessions alternately facilitated by up to 15 different specialists. The insiders also implied that Schumacher has come a long way in terms of his medical recovery since the accident.
The F1 legend is allegedly allowed to drive around their Swiss home with a compact vehicle, a Volkswagen Golf. In some of his therapy sessions, Schumacher is reportedly made to listen on audio recordings of speeding race cars to simulate his time as an active professional racing driver.
The said relatives also told Paris Match that Schumacher occasionally leaves the premises of their home on a wheelchair for some nature sightseeing. “When you put him in his wheelchair facing the beautiful panorama of the mountains overlooking the lake, Michael sometimes cries,” the sources reportedly said.
Michael Schumacher left the F1 racing scene holding the most number of title wins in the Italian Grand Prix history. But the 33-year-old F1 driver for Mercedes AMG Petronas, Lewis Hamilton, just matched Schumie's record on Sunday, denying Ferrari of a home win at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza track.

Wow… I’ll never forget this. We did this together. To the fans, you stood tall, loud and bright in amongst all of the negativity that surrounded us today. We rise together. Meanwhile, Hamilton is humbled with his fifth Italian Grand Prix win, especially for landing the same spot as the F1 legend Schumacher. “To know that I am up there with [Michael Schumacher] is always a real privilege,” Hamilton said. “It is an honor to be mentioned in the same sentence as a great like him, and someone I watched and supported as a youngster.”
