McDonald’s Australia announced the debut of its MyMacca Rewards program for loyal customers. Fans of the burger brand have long been waiting for this to arrive in the country since customers in other countries, where the rewards program already exists, really benefitted from it.
McDonald’s finally brought the company’s rewards program to Australia, and Macca’s fans are very excited. According to News.com.au, customers can already earn points with every purchase of McDonald’s Australia’s popular items via the MyMacca app.
The MyMacca Rewards allows customers to earn and collect points that they can later use to claim food freebies or huge discounts. The loyalty program is a points-based system, so the more points are collected, the more free foods to get.
This is the first time that McDonald’s Australia is offering a national loyalty program to its customers; thus, everyone is only starting to earn their points when they buy from any of the McDonald’s restaurants in the territory.
“The only thing better than enjoying your Macca’s faves is being rewarded for it,” McDonald’s AU’s marketing manager, Tobi Fukushima, said in a statement. “With the launch of MyMacca’s Rewards, customers all over Australia can now earn points for every dollar spent, redeemable against some of our most iconic menu items.
He added that McDonald’s Australia introduced the MyMacca Rewards program to the country as it is one way for them to give back to their loyal customers. The fast-food giant is rewarding its fans by offering greater convenience, value, and rewards.
Under the loyalty program, for every $1 spent on select food and drink purchases using the MyMacca delivery app, 100 points are awarded to the customer. Once they have reached 2,500 points and more, they will now be able to redeem rewards of free food items such as a cheeseburger, french fries, Big Mac, and McCafe’s coffee.
Finally, there are also corresponding rewards for those who will accumulate 5,000 and 7,500 points. McDonald’s Australia launched the MyMacca Rewards after a successful trial last year. This will now be available nationally, and people can use the rewards program starting Thursday, March 3, as per Australia’s 7News.
