Barcelona-based fashion brand Mango has announced an ambitious strategic plan to solidify its position in the global market. The company aims to open approximately 500 stores by 2026, taking its total store count to about 2,700.
Yahoo reported that Mango is projected to achieve sales exceeding 3 billion euros in fiscal 2023, building upon the success of generating 2.68 billion euros last year.
Focus on Key Markets and Major Expansion
According to Reuters, to support its growth strategy, Mango will concentrate its efforts on key markets such as the United States, Spain, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, India, and Canada. The brand plans to revamp its presence in the United States, aiming to increase its current store count from 20 to 40 by the end of 2024. Mango envisions the United States as one of its top five markets in the future.
Additionally, the company will drive its expansion by opening new stores and investing in all channels.
Mango's new roadmap includes a strong focus on innovation and sustainability. The Barcelona-based brand aims to strengthen its differentiated value proposition by delivering spirited and colorful collections at relatively moderate prices.
With an eye toward environmental responsibility, Mango has linked its refinanced debt to environmental, social, and governmental goals. The company has also invested in Recovero, a waste fabric repurposing company, as part of its sustainability initiatives.
Online Sales Expansion and Global Presence
Mango has seen significant growth in online sales, extending its reach to an additional 20 countries in 2023. This year alone, the brand opened over 130 net stores and refurbished 80 existing stores, expanding its presence to over 115 markets worldwide.
With a target audience of urban-oriented men and women aged between 20 and 40, Mango aims to create a vibrant and fashionable shopping experience for its customers.
CEO Recognition and Leadership
In recognition of his outstanding management, Mango's CEO, Toni Ruiz, has been granted a 5 percent stake in the company. Under his leadership, Mango has successfully navigated recent challenges and achieved remarkable growth.
Ruiz has spearheaded the establishment of new teen and home lines, further expanding Mango's product offerings and attracting a broader customer base.
