Macy's and Lowe's are two of the leading retail companies in the United States, and both have signed new deals with big-shot brands so shoppers will have more options when they visit. Moreover, the main aim of the collaborations is to offer something that customers will surely be happy about.
Strategic Partnerships With Hotshot Names
As per The Street, Macy's and Lowe's team-up with heavyweight brands comes after Target used this strategy to attract more customers. It has signed store-within-a-store deals with Walt Disney. Apple and Ulta Beauty seemed to be a brilliant idea because they totally changed the chain's merchandise.
It later added Levi's Jeans and other brands, and in some ways, Target has now become the new mall, and people are visiting often. Consumers do not just go to Target today to buy groceries and home items; they drop by now to have coffee at Starbucks or browse the stores. Since the strategy worked for Target, Macy's and Lowe's appear to borrow the model to improve and have people visit their establishments often.
The New Partners of Macy's and Lowe's
Macy's recently revealed its collaboration with Jennifer Lopez's JLo Beauty brand. The department store chain chose beauty products as this sector has been big customer drawers these days, as proven by Target with Ulta Beauty and Kohl's with Sephora.
Fashion Network reported that Macy's introduced various skincare, beauty, and body care products under JLo Beauty's line. But compared to Sephora and Ulta, the department store company chose more affordable items that customers can easily pay for.
"JLo Beauty products feature luxurious, high-performing formulas with immediately visible and long-lasting results with prices ranging from $15 to $105," Macy's said in its previous statement. "The full assortment including fan favorites like That JLo Glow Serum, Firm + Flaunt Targeted Booty Balm, and more are available to shop on macys.com, Macy's mobile app, and at select Macy's stores nationwide."
On the other hand, Lowe's partnered with Carhartt to offer work clothing items. This will be the first time the retail chain sells this type of merchandise since it is known to sell home improvement goods.
"The collection will feature Carhartt's iconic duck jackets and vests, as well as hoodies, T-shirts, workwear pants, and beanies," Lowe's said in a statement.
