‘MacGyver’ season 1’s episode 8, entitled "Corkscrew", will follow the lead protagonist Angus “Mac” MacGyver as he struggles to defend himself from Murdoc with kitchen tools such as a corkscrew and paper towel rolls. Bozer is set to get it on the action as well.
The synopsis for episode 8 posted on Carter Matt stated, “When MacGyver (Lucas Till) comes face to face with Murdoc (David Dastmalchian), an international assassin hired to kill him, Mac must defend both himself and Bozer (Justin Hires), armed with only a corkscrew and paper towel rolls. Also, Bozer feels completely betrayed when he finally learns Mac’s true identity.”
It would be interesting to see how Mac and Bozer manage to get out of their predicament using kitchen tools in the incoming episode. It seems that Bozer will finally get his chance to join in the action.
Meanwhile, the series is set to resurrect one of the most prominent villains from the original television series of the same name from the 1980s. According to TV.Com, Dastmalchian of ‘The Dark Knight’ fame is set to portray the rebooted version of Murdoc, one of Mac’s worthiest opponents, and will finally appear in episode 8. Murdoc was originally played by Michael Des Barres.
Murdoc was one of Mac’s most frequently recurring enemies in the original ABC television series. He is an assassin that works for an international group of assassins called Homicide International Trust (HIT).
The antagonist is also a master of disguise and is highly skilled in setting up elaborate booby traps. He also has a fondness for heavy weapons such as flamethrowers, dynamites, and bazookas.
‘MacGyver’ season 1’s episode 8, entitled "Corkscrew", is scheduled to premiere on CBS on November 11, 2016. It was directed by Janice Cooke and written by Lindsey Allen.
The CBS series is a reimagining of the popular television series of the same name, which aired from 1985 to 1992 and starred Mel Gibson as the titular character. It was developed by Peter M. Lenkov, who is best known for his work in the television series ‘Hawaii Five-O’, ‘CSI: NY’, and ’24.’ Season 1 runs for 22 episodes.
