Lee Min Ho was born in Heukseok-dong, Seoul, South Korea, on June 22, 1987. He has one sibling, an older sister named Lee Yun Jeong. She is the CEO of MYM Entertainment, the actor’s management agency today. Since he is a very private person, little is known about his parents, although they have a couple of pictures available online.
Original career plans
Originally, the 32-year-old actor did not plan to be an actor, and in fact, he has other ambitions, and it is not related to showbiz. Cosmopolitan reported that he wants to be a professional soccer player, but an injury that sustained in elementary school made him give up his dream and shifted to acting.
He is not confident in singing
Although Lee Min Ho already released two albums so far and they were quite successful, he shared that he is actually not confident in singing, but the is only doing it for his fans. He said that he sings for them during fan meets and other events.
“I’m not gifted in any way artistically. I have no confidence in anything outside of acting,” he told Ten Asia in his past interview. “I’m not the type that easily summons up the courage and I want to just do what I’m confident of and good at. I did start singing at my fan meetings because I have many chances to meet my fans but it took me a whole four years to get there.”
His biggest inspiration
Lee Min Ho shared that his no. 1 inspiration is his mom. She is his role model as she supported and encourages him amid his failures.
"Back when I was going through tough times and kept getting rejected at auditions, I was able to keep working hard and not fall into despair because of my mother,” he said in another interview. “She always taught me to keep trying."
