The NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers have signed a multi-year partnership that makes brand-new Taiwanese airline Starlux its official international airline partner.
The deal gives Starlux activate in-flight branding, international sweepstakes, and other digital and in-person activations featuring Clippers' elements and personalities.
The deal was signed through the NBA’s International Team Marketing Plan (ITMP), which was expanded last October to allow franchises to sign up to ten overseas partnerships outside of the US and Canada.
According to Glenn Chai, chief executive of Starlux, Los Angeles is their airline’s perfect US destination as it is the sister city of Taipei and because of their partnership with the LA Clippers.
