No Brand Burger introduced the new “Better Burger,” which is a 100% plant-based burger sandwich. The restaurant that is operated by Shinsegae Food Inc. said its new product is a first in the industry.
The No Brand Burger is made with entirely plant-based ingredients. From the bun, cheese, and patty, down to the sauce that was used to make the Better Burger, everything is animal-free.
As per Pulse News, Shinsegae Foods also added a vegan bolognese sauce to the new purely vegan burger that will be sold at No Brand Burger stores. The patty is a meat alternative from the Better Meat brand.
The spokesperson of Shinsegae Food said that its Better Burger is the first of its kind in the world because “Among global burger franchises, No Brand Burger‘s Better Burger is the first burger to include plant-based cheese.”
It was last month when it was first reported that Shinsegae Foods is releasing a 100% plant-based burger at its No Brand Burger outlets in South Korea. Aside from the animal-free ingredients, the sandwich will also be served with a plant-based bun, and this will be available at all 213 stores of the burger restaurant.
"We introduced the 'Better Burger' with vegetable ingredients developed with our own food tech capabilities to provide more delicious and healthy burgers to MZ generation consumers who value consumption," an official at Shinsegae Food said in a statement. “We plan to introduce a variety of menus to publicize the social value of alternative foods.”
Meanwhile, No Brand is operating under E-Mart, which is owned by the Shinsegae Group. It has more than 200 branches in the country today and is popular among customers as a store that offers various high-quality food items, daily necessities, and more at lower prices.
