Kodak is known worldwide as a film, camera, and photography company, but it has expanded its business to include an apparel line. This is one of its new ventures in its 130-year history, and the unit is doing well.
Kodak has already expanded its apparel brand to various countries. In South Korea, Korea Joongang Daily reported that it has opened its flagship store, "Kodak Corner Shop." The establishment is located in the bustling district of Seongsu in the eastern part of Seoul.
New Flagship Store as Kodak Expands Presence in Korea
Highlight Brands operates the Kodak apparel business locally. The company said on Friday, Jan. 26, that the new flagship outlet will offer customers a different kind of shopping experience.
Highlight Brands said that besides the stylish vintage clothing line, visitors can also learn about Kodak film photography's legacy. It was shared that the Kodak Corner Shop was built to have exclusive spaces where visitors can customize merchandise and even a place to enjoy music.
Kodak Corner Shop: More Than Just a Retail Outlet
The "Kodak Sound Zone" will feature a music playlist that goes well with the brand's mood. The list of songs was said to have been put together in collaboration with an indie music distributor, Poclanos. What's good about this is that visitors are not even required to purchase to enjoy the music that they can listen to while checking out Kodak's film photography heritage.
In another corner, Kodak set up the "Custom Goods Zone," where customers can buy shirts and eco-bags and customize them according to their liking. As per Korea's Money Today, various stickers are available here and only sold at the Kodak Corner Store in Seongsu.
