Kellogg’s Eggo launched an alcoholic breakfast beverage in collaboration with Sugarlands Distilling Company. The popular waffle brand created a sippable version of a favorite breakfast food item and calls it a “Brunch in a Jar.”
Kellogg’s Eggo’s new product was described as a “liquid waffle,” and it is actually spiked thus, it is for adults only. The new liqueur features the classic flavors of waffles in a single bottle.
This drinkable alcoholic waffle is called the Eggo Brunch in a Jar Sippin’ Cream. 21 years and older consumers can have this new sippable breakfast starting this week.
As per CNN Business, Eggo stated that the new product is a unique mixture that perfectly presents the description of “rich and creamy liqueur.” Customers who will try it will enjoy the taste of Eggo waffles, maple syrup, and butter rolled in one. It was said that there is also a hint of smoky bacon to complete the breakfast with a twist.
In the partnership, the Gatlinburg, Tennessee-headquartered distilling firm made and bottled the beverage that is spiked with 20% alcohol by volume. It will be released under the Eggo brand, packed in typical Eggo yellow packaging. Kellogg’s said that “Brunch in a Jar” is set to hit the shelves of grocery stores this week, ahead of National Waffle Day in the United States, which falls on Aug. 24.
Terra News reported that the new Eggo breakfast alcoholic drink is not the first product made through the partnership of Eggo and Sugarlands. They already teamed up last year to make the “Eggo Nog” alcoholic drink.
“Between the juggle of constantly changing schedules, household errands, family outings or busy workdays, it can often feel impossible for parents to find moments they can savor for themselves,” Kellogg’s senior marketing director for frozen foods, Joe Beauprez, previously said in a press release. “Eggo Brunch in a Jar makes it easy for parents to kick back when they’re not caring for their little ones so, whether parents want to punch up a weekend brunch or savor some of those classic brunch flavors during their downtime, this feel-good Eggo-inspired liqueur is the perfect treat."
