Miyuki and Kaguya’s romantic mind games remain the center of the plot in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2, but it will also introduce other conflicts to flesh out the characters. For one, fans will find Miyuki facing his consistent opponents in his position as a student council president.
‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ season 2 spoilers: Why Miyuki cannot lose his student council position
The first official teaser for “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 has been revealed, showing that the Miyuki and Kaguya are still hell-bent on making the other person confess their feelings. It can be recalled that they have romantic feelings for one another, but their pride dictates that being the first to confess shows weakness and will make them the inferior one in the relationship. With that, they have set out on a silent mission to place traps that would make the other person be the first to admit they are in love.
In “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2, Miyuki will be facing another challenge as the character of Miko Iino is introduced in this installment. She is Miyuki’s persistent opponent in student council elections and wants to take his place as the president.
In the manga, Miko’s perseverance eventually led to gaining more support from their schoolmates. This explains why Miyuki’s fellow student council officers in the “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 trailer are concerned that they will soon be disbanded.
Despite Miko’s growing popularity, she will not gain enough support to defeat Miyuki, and he remains the president in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2. This is crucial for the plot because season 2 is supposed to be the time when Miyuki and Kaguya will be getting much closer. Since they very rarely have the same class together, most of their adorable moments happen at the student council office.
