Jungkook’s ‘Midas Touch’ is at work again, and this time, he helped another unknown brand to be recognized by the public. The BTS member is reportedly the reason why the brand name A NOTHING suddenly gained a huge number of IG followers in such a short time.
It was reported that the clothing brand only has a little over 1,000 followers on Instagram, but the number suddenly climbed up, and it instantly earned more than 8,000 followers after Jungkook was seen wearing the brand’s clothing item. This only proved that the 23-year old idol singer’s brand reputation is really something incomparable.
Jungkook’s latest “Midas Touch” incident
As per Allkpop, the youngest member of BTS wore A NOTHING’s clothing pieces on several occasions. The latest was when he celebrated his birthday via VLive. The outlet stated that Jungkook’s striped pants and drop shoulder velvet long-sleeved top were from the said brand.
He also wore other items from the same brand in one of the episodes of “BTS in the Soop,” and the company posted screenshots of the idol wearing their clothing. After learning where Jungkook got his clothes, fans visited the company’s IG, and they followed the page.
It has taken 2 years for A NOTHING to gain 1k followers, but Jungkook increased it by more than a thousand-fold in mere hours. As of this time, the brand has 12,700 followers.
“The clothing brand A NOTHING’s IG saw an impressive increase of 1000% in followers after Jungkook wore their clothes on two occasions (BTS in The Soop and his Birthday VLive),” one of the idol singer’s fan clubs wrote on Twitter. “This proved Jungkook’s impact and brand power once again.”
Fans are used to this Jungkook’s effect on brands since this is not the first time that it happened. In fact, whatever item the singer is seen using, wearing or holding, those instantly get sold out.
He has already sold out even Downy’s fabric conditioner, modernized hanbok by Zijangsa, a wine brand, shoe brand, and many more. Most of these are brands that are not yet well-known, so Jungkook has been labeled as "The Business Grower," too, for his power sell out even if he is not really promoting them.
BTS looking forward to Grammy’s
Meanwhile, Jungkook and the rest of the BTS band are hoping they can be nominated for the Grammy’s. Their song “Dynamite” is a certified worldwide hit, and it could be their ticket for a chance to be in the Grammy’s nomination list, and they could even win big in this event.
