It would seem that BTS is on a roll recently, with its latest achievement “Map of the Soul: Persona” absolutely blowing up. The group also made an appearance at “Saturday Night Live” and its “Boy With Luv” music video is racking up hits like nothing else. In the future, though, it would seem that the next collaboration will be with Billie Eilish and this will likely be due to Jungkook.
As Billboard recently reported, Jungkook revealed that he would love to work with the songstress in a recent interview with Beats 1. During the interview, RM also talked about their latest collaboration with Halsey that is currently blowing up on YouTube.
"We met two years ago at the BBMAs backstage,” the group leader said. “She told us that she became a fan after she watched music videos. We knew Halsey from 'Closer' [with The Chainsmokers], biggest song of that year. So we met backstage and she came to Korea last year, and we met again. We talked about, like, 'We should collaborate. We should work on something.' We got this track for this album and thought that Halsey would be the best voice for this track. It happened. Boom. Here we are."
When the members were asked who they would like to work with next, names like Drake and Troye Sivan came up. However, when Jungkook said that Billie Eilish would be his ideal next collaborator, this has likely set the stage for exactly this eventuality.
At this point, there is no denying that one of the most powerful forces in the group is Jungkook. Gaining the most attention for his boyish look, his child-like behavior, and good boy personality, his presence in BTS is fast becoming undeniably titanic. With this being the case, it would be safe to assume that his choice of artistic collaboration would be the group’s choice in the future.
