Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are said to have broken their engagement so their wedding is not pushing through anymore - for good. It was alleged that the pair got into arguments while in lockdown and realized that they cannot proceed with their marriage.
In May, various publications reported that JLo and A-Rod have decided to postpone their summer wedding due to the current situation on coronavirus infection. In her interview with “Today Show,” she said that she is heartbroken since they had been planning for their special day.
“I’m a little heartbroken because we did have some great plans but I’m also like,” she said. “You know what? God has a bigger plan so we just have to wait and see.”
Breaking the wedding for good
However, in a new report coming from the National Enquirer, the wedding has been permanently called off. It was said that rather than postponement, it will never be rescheduled again since it will not happen anymore. Sources reportedly told the tabloid that some things happened at home while they were locked up due to the quarantine.
“They’ve been bickering a LOT behind the scenes,” the so-called tipster revealed to the magazine. “The pandemic was a good excuse to slow things down before they jumped the rails completely!”
It was further said that Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez don’t see themselves setting a new date for their wedding soon. This is because, during the lockdown, they came to realize that they had enough of each other and it’s time to end things.
“Jen is consumed with social media and showing off her body,” one says. “She’s on TikTok all the time and it has become an obsession for her that’s driving him crazy!”
The so-called source further alleged that the former baseball player was only playing nice in front of the camera but there’s a lot of “brewing” going on behind the scenes. A-Rod thinks that JLo should grow up and act her age because he feels like he is with a teenager rather than a woman he is set to marry.
Revealing the truth
To quickly confirm if this report is true or not, Gossip Cop went directly to someone who can clarify the story. The publication stated that it reached out to someone close to both Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez and was told that everything in the article is false and simply called it “rubbish.”
