It was always known that the tabloid media can be something of a shallow end of the journalistic pool, but it can be difficult to gauge just how ridiculous it can be without a good measuring point. To help with this, a Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt story came out one year ago that can work as a good baseline. Not only did it work on the premise of possibly rekindling romance, but it also made stupid claims about an Angelina Jolie lookalike.
As Gossip Cop reports, HollywoodLife made one of the most ridiculous claims a tabloid magazine could make with its fictitious coverage of a non-existent Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt drama. Basically, the publication claimed that the “FRIENDS” star wanted to get back together with her former husband. However, the actor was supposedly spending time with a beautiful woman who looked like Angelina Jolie.
Practically every single detail presented in that Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt report was a lie, with neither of the two subjects having expressed interest in one another after their split. The “Horrible Bosses” actress had always made it a point to avoid any topic related to her ex-husband and the same went for the “Troy” star.
This did not stop the tabloid magazine from printing out how a potential rekindling of a Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt romance was a dream for the actress, though. The same goes for how crushed she supposedly felt about the fact that her dream guy was spending so much time with another woman. It’s enough to make one want to blush with embarrassment.
Suffice it to say, this Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt story was proven wrong after it came it and it is still wrong a year later. Such a report is a good measuring point to prove just how stupid the tabloid media can be.
