“Jane the Virgin” season 5 will be back very soon after the long wait. However, it should be noted that this is the show’s final run since it is set to bow out once the fifth installment ends.
While many viewers may feel sad as there will be no more “next” after “Jane the Virgin” season 5 concludes, showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman, feels that this is the perfect time for them to make their exit and she is proud of the show.
“It is some of our best stuff ever and we are very proud of the new episodes,” she told Deadline. “I pitched the way the series is going to end when we started working on the show. We are on the path that was the story I felt like I wanted to tell, so it’s exciting because we’re getting to that ending.”
Now, when “Jane the Virgin” season 5 airs the viewers will finally see what happened to Michael. How did he suddenly showed up at Jane’s apartment door when everyone assumed he is already dead?
Based on the promo teaser, Michael may not be aware of what is happening around him. He may not even recognize his family because it appears that he has amnesia.
As can be seen in the “Jane the Virgin” season 5 trailer, while Jane is totally shocked from seeing him again, Michael kept a blank face. There was no emotion and when his wife tried to show him their beloved cat, he did not react either. What’s more, his dad, Rogelio, keeps repeating his name but it appears that he is still clueless.
Perhaps, the theory that Michael is suffering from amnesia is correct. The question now is, what happened to him to lose his memory; where he’s been all this time and how did he found his way back to Jane’s apartment – their home?
“Jane the Virgin” season 5 will reveal the answers to this many questions and hopefully everything will be cleared. However, while Michael was away, Jane has fallen for Raphael and this complicates the situation. Jane must choose between the two men now and it cannot be avoided that one of them will be heartbroken.
In any case, “Jane the Virgin” season 5 will introduce a new face. It signed up Sophia Bush and it was Justin Baldoni (Raphael) who revealed her casting. On his Instagram, the actor wrote that while Bush is confirmed to be in the drama, he cannot say what her role will be. He hinted though that it is a character that the viewers will not be happy about.
Meanwhile, “Jane the Virgin” season 5 will premiere on March 27 at 9 p.m. on CW Network. Watch the trailer below:
