“Insatiable” Season 2 is set to return this year, and it’s looking like fans are toning down the hate that the series received prior to the airing of the first installment. It can be recalled that the showrunners were accused of fat-shaming shortly after the trailer of the first installment was released, Digital Spy reported.
But when the audiences binge-watched the dark satirical comedy, everyone understood what the writers were gunning for. Now, “Insatiable” Season 2 will be continuing on the major cliffhangers that the first entry left behind.
So a quick recap before we proceed with the speculations. After Patty (Debby Ryan) lost a lot of weight following an incident with a bully, she finds herself the center of attention in her school. Through the story, the character finds herself in more complicated situations. The events culminated in Patty killing her ex-boyfriend Christian (James Lastovic), dumping the body in a car and sinking it into a lake. But the car refused to sink. It goes without saying that one of the major premises of “Insatiable” Season 2 will be centered on this plotline, What’s On Netflix reported.
Perhaps Patty and Bob (Dallas Roberts) will go through great lengths to cover up the murder? Or maybe they’ll try to pin the murder on someone else? And what about Stella Rose and Patty confessing to Bob that she may have killed her? All these questions will be answered by “Insatiable” Season 2.
Which brings us to its release date. While Netflix has yet to confirm anything as of this writing, most of the speculations are pointing at an August release mainly because the first entry dropped on that month. With “Insatiable” Season 2 kicking off production in March, this prediction is a safe bet barring any unforeseen circumstances that would delay its launching. Hopefully, everything goes swimmingly with the filming as fans of the series can’t wait to watch what Patty will do now that she’s stuck between a rock and a hard place.
