Huawei is gearing up to introduce its latest innovation, the Pocket 2 foldable phone, to the global market soon, following a successful debut in its home market of China.
Huawei Pocket 2 Nears Global Unveiling
According to a recent report, Huawei may “soon” release the Pocket 2 foldable to users worldwide. Upon its launch in China three months ago, Huawei’s vertical folding phone, the Pocket 2, raised questions about its potential for international distribution.
HuaweiAilesi has found an alleged global advertising poster for the Huawei Pocket 2.
From the “Discover with AppGallery” logo, we can infer that the gadget whose advertisement we happened to stumble upon will be sold worldwide. According to the website, this device, which featured a similar poster without the AppGallery branding and naturally had Chinese details, was already available for purchase in China.
By obtaining the Bluetooth certificate bearing the model codes “LEM-LX9” and “LEM-L29,” they could verify the gadget’s precise arrival. Huawei models sold worldwide use the code formats L29 and LX9.
A date for a particular area or an official statement has yet to be made. The OEM may bring this device to some European countries early, but it is still uncertain.
Huawei Central says that if this is true, the Huawei Pocket 2 foldable global unit will probably have the same features, design, and other important specs as its Chinese sibling.
Exploring the Features of Huawei Pocket 2
The device comes in two versions: Standard and Art foldable. It sports a 6.94-inch main display and a 1.15-inch cover screen.
While the processor isn’t officially listed, users discovered support for the Kirin 9000s chip, Huawei’s Maleoon 910 GPU, and HarmonyOS 4.0. The phone has a 4520mAh battery that supports 66W wired and 40W wireless charging.
Additionally, it stands out as the first vertical foldable to feature a quad-lens setup, including a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, an 8MP telephoto sensor, and a hyperspectral shooter, complemented by a 10.7MP selfie camera on the front.
