‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 15 Episode 9 Air Date, Spoilers: Love Triangles Still in the Air When Series Returns Featuring ‘Shelter From the Storm’

“Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 9 will mark the series returns after the midseason break that began last month. The drama’s finale for 2018 aired on Nov. 15 and it left the viewers with so much to look forward to when the continuation airs next year. So, what can be expected in the ninth episode of the fifteenth season?

“Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 9 promises another exciting story but surely there would be awkward scenes as some of the main characters got involved in love triangles. It all started with Teddy (Kim Raver), Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) and now it is likely that Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) also has to pick between Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) and Atticus “Link” Lincoln (Chris Carmack). Their lovelines will continue to unfold in the upcoming episode titled “Shelter From the Storm.”

It can be recalled that the said characters got stuck in the elevator in episode 8 which was the midseason finale and now it will be revealed how Meredith and Owen will deal with their love life when they each have two people competing for their affection and attention. With this plot, viewers should not miss “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 9.

While the title for episode 9 was already revealed, its official synopsis is not available yet. Then again, we know that it will pick up from the time Meredith and DeLuca got stuck in an elevator. It is the perfect timing for the latter to get answers from the former since as he pointed out, she cannot run away from him anymore. Will she say “Yes” or “No?” What is Meredith’s exact feelings for DeLuca? They may be falling in love with each other but there is Link as well.

Another trio faced with the love triangle scenario are Owen, Amelia and Teddy. Kevin McKidd who is playing Owen spilled some spoilers in his interview with Entertainment Weekly. He said that despite the competition and jealousy, it seems that Own, Teddy and Amelia will still have a pleasant time in the workplace.

"They are not juveniles. They are three adults who are suddenly finding themselves in this very complicated, murky situation," the actor told EW. "Even though they are reeling and are in shock, they want to do the right thing. What is the right thing, though? That’s what is hard, and that’s where emotions get heated.”

He added that many things will happen in the upcoming episodes. The three would feel confused and angry at some points but they will try their best to make the right decisions and face the situation like real adults.

“Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 9 has been confirmed to return on Jan. 17, 2019 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
