‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13’s episode 9, entitled “You Haven’t Done Nothin’”, will find the team struggling with an influx of patients at Grey Sloan following a building collapse. Meanwhile, Alex may be facing time in prison.
The synopsis for the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ episode 9 posted on Carter Matt stated, “Believing he is going to jail tomorrow, Alex (Justin Chambers) makes a big decision about his future. While the hospital is overrun with victims of a building collapse, Richard (James Pickens Jr.) demands answers from Bailey (Chandra Wilson) about Eliza’s (Marika Dominczyk) presence at Grey Sloan.”
The incoming episode will feature the chaos at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital as it is bombarded by a massive number of patients following a building collapse. In the midst of it all, Alex will also be facing his own personal demons.
Much of season 13’s storyline dealt with the repercussions of Alex’s attack of DeLuca in season 12. In the promo, Alex announces that it is almost his trial and Meredith warns him, “You will be destroyed.”
According to Unreality TV, there have been no reports of Chambers leaving the popular medical-drama series. It may be possible that although Alex is facing imprisonment, he may eventually find himself off the hook. Bailey already spared him from getting fired in the previous episodes despite Catherine’s threats.
Meanwhile, lead star Ellen Pompeo shared an e-mail from showrunner Shonda Rhimes of episode 8’s heartbreaking episode, according to E!. Pompeo posted Rhimes’ e-mail on Instagram.
It read, “Just a note to let you all know how beautiful I think tonight’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy is. The performances you all gave, the work you clearly put in, the choices, the direction, everything… it’s spectacular. Truly truly. I am so proud to work with you and seeing the outcome of an episode like this makes me even prouder. Thank you.”
The episode aired last November 10, entitled "The Room Where It Happens", followed Richard, Owen (Kevin McKidd), Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) working together to work on a difficult case. While dealing with power struggles in the operating room, Richard proposed that they take a new approach by seeing the anonymous patient as a human with a real back story.
In the process, several characters from the past appeared in the O.R. One particularly interesting moment was when Meredith imagined her late love Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey).
‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13’s episode 9, entitled “You Haven’t Done Nothin’”, is scheduled to air on ABC on November 17, 2016. It was directed by Rob Corn and written by Karin Gist.
