This week, fans will be breathing a sigh of relief as “Gotham” returns from its Season 3 mid-break. However, a couple of video promos teased a couple of major things about two of the Gotham’s heroes, Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon.
Den of Geek said the video promo for the episode titled “These Delicate and Dark Obsessions” will show how the young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) starts the path to become the city’s Dark Knight, and believes that he will be trained by no other than Ra's al Ghul (Alexander Siddig).
Siddig earlier shared to Digital Spy about his upcoming role in the series, and the steps he took to personifying the role, and keeping it secret. He added, "I really tried to get him so ambiguous that he’s almost liquid – that was the way I thought about it. You’re really not sure if he’s good or bad – no one knows whether he’s a demon or a saint, or a ghost, that’s a line from the script."
Meanwhile, Screenrant also published another video promo for the ongoing “Heroes Rise” arc, which showed how the enigmatic group the Court, select group of upper-class Gotham citizens that control Gotham from the background, will unleash its secret weapon to save the city on the brink of chaos --- and will be aided by no other than Jim Gordon (Ben Mckenzie). Supposedly, the GCPD Detective will help the Court save Gotham by destroying it.
Craig Elvy for the entertainment site wrote a play-by-play account on how Jim will be instrumental in the Court’s goal:
“Although the trailer refrains from giving away exactly what the Court of Owls’ secret weapon is, fans will notice that the container housing this mysterious object is branded with an Indian Hill logo and is about the right shape for a person to fit inside. Viewers will remember Indian Hill as the facility headed by Professor Hugo Strange for giving (often dead) humans a new lease of life with incredible super-powers. As such, it’s perhaps likely that the Court’s secret weapon will be one of Strange’s abominable creations, as well as a recognized villain from the Batman canon.”
“Gotham” will return on May 1st on FOX.
