Despite its initial stumble after featuring a rape scene with a goblin and a female adventurer, “Goblin Slayer” became one of the most popular anime during its run. This is why a lot of people are now looking forward to the release of “Goblin Slayer” Season 2. It’s looking like it has great odds at doing so, as well, and renewal becomes even likelier when t-shirt sales are tremendous.
As Monsters&Critics recently reported, the anime industry has undergone quite a big transition since its earlier days, with a show’s success now having less to do with disc sales. This is not to say that they are not important, though, with the first season of “Goblin Slayer” actually beating the third season of “My Hero Academia” in Blu-ray sales. This is a good sign for “Goblin Slayer” Season 2.
On that note, it is worth pointing out that the industry now also measures metrics like merchandise sales to determine the viability of any project. In the case of “Goblin Slayer” Season 2, its chances of being renewed will grow significantly if shirts, mugs, and bags of the show start selling well.
This means that anyone who is interested in seeing “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 and all other seasons beyond that might want to dig into their pockets to buy some of the show’s goods. The more items are sold, the more interest is measured, and the longer the lifespan of the anime will be.
This doesn’t just apply to “Goblin Slayer” Season 2, either, since the same goes for any anime that fans are interested in. Visiting websites that are officially affiliated with the anime and then purchasing action figures of Goblin Slayer, Priestess, or any other character is a great way to show support. There is simply no getting around this aspect of the industry.
