The ending of the final episode of “Goblin Slayer” Season 1 promised the return of everyone’s favorite pest exterminator. With “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 confirmed, fans can rest easy with regards to the fate of the anime. However, there is the question of what the next season will entail since the anime has caught up with the manga. There is still quite a bit of material in the light novels left, though, so there’s that to give viewers plenty to look forward to.
For those who only watch the anime, “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 might hold a lot of surprises that they could not have expected based on the story and the characters revealed, so far. However, the same goes for the manga readers since the illustrated version of the property has already been caught up to. This means that fans of both forms of media finally have something in common.
This opens up a lot of possibilities with regards to the events of “Goblin Slayer” Season 2, especially with Orcbolg saying that he wants to be an adventurer. To fans of the series, this is a momentous development, particularly with the character’s personality of only going after goblins. Would it actually be possible to see Goblin Slayer fighting dragons in the future?
It is worth pointing out that the Demon Lord in the current timeline of the show has already been defeated and the heroes who beat him have been shown to be three girls. However, there is much more to adventuring that might surprise fans in “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 when it finally airs. One of which is the expansion of the show’s world.
Seeing Orcbolg and his friends visit beautiful mountain ranges, gorgeous oceans, and fantastical environments should prove quite interesting. If the animators start working on “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 right now, it might even come out before 2022.
