George Clooney and Amal Clooney have always been rumored to be getting a divorce. Just a few weeks ago another story claimed that the Clooneys are calling it quits. But it was debunked not long after getting published.
Gossip Cop has recently called out a report from OK! magazine that claimed George and Amal are heading for a divorce. Like many tabloid stories, this one was also based on statements from an unidentified source who is reportedly close to the Clooneys. The insider said the couple “can’t agree on anything” and then suspected, “It won’t be long until their marriage crashes and burns.”
The source was blaming Amal Clooney and George Clooney’s alleged fights to the latter’s frequent “partying and taking road trips with the guys.” As many fans already know, George is one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood while Amal is a lawyer focusing on cases of international human rights. The insider insisted that this major difference in their jobs and lifestyle are purportedly causing the strain in their marriage.
“The differences seem to have finally gotten the best of them… How long this farce can go on is anyone’s guess,” OK!’s source added. However, the fact-checking media outlet dissected the statements from OK!’s tipster and concluded that the story was filled with “recycled” accounts. Ultimately, Gossip Cop argued that George and Amal are apparently still happy together as evidenced by their most recent public appearances.
Aside from staying happily married, George and Amal have also been great friends to Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. Earlier this year, the actor spoke out on how the media have allegedly “vilified” the expectant mother.
E! News also reported that Amal Clooney has been a huge help to the first-time mother. "Amal has been a wealth of knowledge on so many things and helped Meghan settle in," an insider said. "She's given her advice on celebrity and living in the public eye. They've enjoyed sharing stories of travel and humanitarian causes. … Meghan goes to Amal for many things and really trusts her instincts.”
