George Clooney and Amal Clooney are close to filing for divorce but the couple is reportedly trying to save it one last time by going on trips together. The setting for the getaways was always romantic as per the sources thus they were described as the spouses’ “second honeymoon.”
The National Enquirer reported via Gossip Cop that George and Amal are on the verge of breaking up after five years of marriage. However, the couple allegedly managed to save their marriage after going on a trip to Ireland.
“This trip has done wonders for George and Amal,” a source revealed to the tabloid. “They’re super excited to be back on track again. It’s no secret they’ve had their problems recently, but getting away from the public eye and spending quality time together has done them a world of good.”
In April, Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney visited Ireland to attend a family reunion that and insiders said that this trip doubled as the pair’s “second honeymoon” since they bonded there and their marital issues seem to have been forgotten for a while. The bonding moments reportedly sparked romantic flames and this somehow healed their cracked relationship.
“This was the first time in a while they could hang out and figure out compromises to their differences,” the tipster shared. “It was also a super romantic setting, so that went a long way to get the spark going again physically.”
That same month The Daily Mail mentioned that Amal was spotted teary-eyed while with George. The couple was in a car and a paparazzi photo supposedly caught the barrister in a tense moment with her husband and this scenario also probably contributed to the divorce reports.
Gossip Cop did some digging into the claims and eventually spoke to someone who has knowledge of the power couple’s situation. The report was debunked and this made it certain that George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin did not need a second honeymoon to save their marriage because they are not having marital issues in the first place.
