‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Spoilers: King’s Landing to Feature More Walks of Shame; Lena Headey Teases Cersei with The Mountain

Lena Headey plays Cersei Lannister on HBO's 'Game of Thrones'

‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 may feature more walks of shame in King’s Landing. Lena Headey, who plays Cersei Lannister in the series, teased photographs of herself with co-star Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who plays The Mountain. It seems that the two will be sharing numerous scenes in the incoming season.

According to Inverse, King’s Landing is set to host yet another line-up of characters to go on the infamous “walk of shame.” Lena Headey’s Queen Cersei Lannister is one of the most notable characters go on the humiliating procession. Parading naked and abused along the back streets of King’s Landing was one of Cersei’s most heartbreaking and lowest points as she desperately held herself together for the sake of her children.

It was suggested that Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan), Oberyn Martell’s vengeful former lover Elliara Sand (Indira Varma), and Oberyn and Ellaria’s bastard daughter Tyene (Rosabell Laurenti Sellers). It was speculated that the new walk of shame may be initiated by none other than Yara’s murderous uncle Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk).

Euron was last seen as the newly crowned king of the Iron Islands. He was also intent on killing Yara and Theon to secure his sovereignty. It looks like he would ally with Cersei to accomplish his plan.

Meanwhile, one of the final moments from the preceding season saw Ellaria and Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg) pledging Dorne and Highgarden’s allegiance, respectively, to dragon queen Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). It seems that Cersei won’t waste any time in punishing her enemy’s allies.

According to Uproxx, Varma and Sellers were spotted in Caceres, Spain presumably to film a scene for King’s Landing. It was also speculated that the rest of the Sand Snakes will show up as well, particularly Obara (Keisha Castle-Hughes) and Nymeria (Jessica Henwick).

Meanwhile, Headey has been teasing waiting viewers with images of herself with Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson’s in her Twitter account. Headey plays Cersei while Björnsson plays The Mountain in the series.

According to Express, one of the photographs teased Headey’s foot together with Björnsson’s considerably larger one showing the two on a flight together. In another photograph, Headey showed her own dwarfed hand compared to Björnsson’s own with the caption, “best friends.” It was suggested that the two will be sharing numerous screen time in the incoming season.

‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 is scheduled to premiere on HBO sometime in mid-2017.
