“Friday Night Dinner” season 6 has yet to be confirmed by Channel 4 but many believe that it will be renewed since it has a good number of viewers and reviews are satisfactory as well. The British comedy sitcom is indeed popular and as the previous seasons were well-received, fans are looking forward to the new episodes.

Reality Tidbit reported that “Friday Night Dinner” already gained around 1.5 million regular viewers and although there is a slight dip, the show maintained its audience until last year. The comedy also boasts of 8.1 rating on IMDB and this only shows how successful it is on television. With that said, the chances of being renewed are really high.
As to when Channel 4 will make an announcement about “Friday Night Dinner” season 6, it may take a while as the series is known to have long gaps between each season. Moreover, it also depends on the availability of the actors as they have other projects too.

“Friday Night Dinner” season 6 is expected to return with its key cast members and according to OtakuKart this include Tom Rosenthal (Johnny Goodman), Simon Bird (Adam Goodman), Tamsin Greig (Jackie Goodman), Paul Ritter (Martin Goodman), Mark Heap (Jim Bell), Tracy-Ann Oberman (Val Lewis), Frances Cuka (Nelly Buller) and Rosalind Knight as Cynthia Goodman.
The lead stars, Rosenthal and Bird who play siblings who always bicker said that they love working on the set of “Friday Night Dinner” and they revealed that even off-screen, the really act like the way they do in the sitcom.
“We chuck props about. The house we film in has a collection of rugby balls and we’re always throwing and catching something,” Express quoted Tom as saying. “We shouldn’t really do that in a professional way, but ultimately throwing things around is fun.”

Meanwhile, if Channel 4 will order “Friday Night Dinner” season 6, it is likely to return in late 2019 or early 2020. Stay tuned for updates to confirm if the show will continue after the fifth installment.
