Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are reportedly not living together and they arranged this set-up in order to save their supposedly crumbling marriage. It was added that the couple recently bought a mansion in Beverly Hills but the home is actually a property where one can stay so they can give space to one another and avoid divorce.
In short, it is a home that will allow them to live apart so they can strengthen their marriage rather than allow conflicts to completely ruin their relationship, the rumor says. Last month, Variety reported that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi purchased a $15 million property in the Trousdale Estates area and it boasts of a Hollywood Regency-style sprawling villa with 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
Now, according to Life & Style (via Gossip Cop), the home is not just an investment but it serves a purpose for Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi.
“It is not just another investment, nor is it their new marital home,” a so-called tipster said. “It is an escape pad for Portia who will stay there two nights a week in a bid to give each other space and strengthen their marriage.”
The insider further alleged that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi already told their friends that they don’t intend to use the newly acquired mansion as their main home but it is mainly for Portia’s use when she wants time off or space from her marriage.
“They’ve told pals they won’t be using this as their permanent base right now. It will be a place Portia can go on her nights off, as well as a place they can meet for monthly date nights as they try out having a more separated marriage,” the source supposedly told the paper.
Moreover, it is alleged that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s fights are getting worse and it is always about the former’s supposed insane jealousy. Ellen is also said to be very controlling and this behavior often leads to nasty arguments.
It appears this report is not true as Gossip Cop checked the facts and did not find proof that the allegations came from a reliable source. The fact-checking site doubts that the claim that Ellen often accuses Portia of being too close to other women as well as the claim that the two are not living together.
GC firmly stated that the Life & Style report is 100 percent false. In fact, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi recently celebrated National Coming Out Day by sharing a photo of themselves kissing on Instagram.
