‘Elementary’ season 5’s episode 19, titled “High Heat," will feature Sherlock as he attempts to dismantle a local group of private investigators after mulling over his assault by Shinwell. He is also set to work with Watson on a new murder case.
The synopsis for “High Heat” posted on TV Guide reads, “Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson (Lucy Liu) investigate the murder of a man Sherlock considered one of New York's worst private investigators. Also, Holmes stews over being beaten by Shinwell (Nelsan Ellis), so he decides to take out his aggression by dismantling a local organization of private investigators.”
It seems that Shinwell’s attack on Sherlock at the very end of the episode 18, titled "Dead Man's Tale," has left a deep impression on the former Scotland Yard consultant as he has set his sights on dismantling a local organization of PIs to let some steam out.
According to International Business Times, Sherlock and Shinwell had a violent confrontation in the previous episode when Sherlock believed that Shinwell killed his friend and fellow gang member, Jameel Clark. This led to Sherlock and Watson wondering if they knew Shinwell at all considering that he may have gotten away with the unsolved murder.
Before Sherlock could turn him in, Shinwell managed to assault the sleuth before confirming that SBK was behind the murder all along. Shinwell admitted that SBK wanted Jameel dead after the heads made drug deals with a rival gang.
Meanwhile, Sherlock and Watson will also be investigating the murder of a man Sherlock considered one of the city’s worst private investigators in the upcoming episode.
‘Elementary’ season 5’s episode 19, titled “High Heat," is scheduled to air on April 9, 2017 on CBS. It was directed by Michael Hekmat and written by Kelly Wheeler. It will be followed by episode 20, titled "The Art of Sleights and Deception," scheduled to be released on April 23.
