“Dynasty” season 3 was confirmed this year which means that The CW successfully relaunched one of the most popular dramas in the 1980s. This is the third season, and the reboot though presented a new set of cast, still gives off that dominating aura of the Carrington family.
The CW soap is guaranteed to reveal a drama that shows how the fictitious wealthy families betray, scheme, and step on each other to achieve power and more wealth. But of course, it also tells something about true love, friendships, and great family support where loved ones are there to give a helping hand regardless of the situation.
Plot
“Dynasty” season 3 is expected to continue with interesting storylines that will spice up the drama with endless twists and turns. As per the official press release, the upcoming season’s synopsis reads: “The Carrington family will face the unknown on all fronts. Dealing with the fallout from the startling second season finale, Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) is surrounded by a host of rivals looking to destroy her, the most wicked of which is her own brother, Adam (Sam Underwood), who takes the idea of “sibling rivalry” to a whole new level of crazy.”
Also, Fallon and Liam’s (Adam Huber) relationship is one of the things to look forward to in “Dynasty” season 3. The former will do her best to get Liam back on her side as their connection seemed to have soured after all the controversies regarding their marriage.
Cast
“Dynasty” season 3 is not returning with Nicollette Sheridan who is known for her role as Alexis Carrington. Her departure from the drama was announced in February, and there is no news if the production team will find a replacement for the spot that she will leave. On the other hand, Elizabeth Gillies, Grant Show (Blake), Sam Underwood (Adam), Rafael De La Fuente (Sammy Jo), Ana Brenda Contreras (Cristal) and Sam Adegoke (Jeff) are expected to return and reprise their characters.
Premiere date
“Dynasty” season 3 is set to return to the small screen this Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. on The CW. It will remain on its Friday nights timeslot and will follow “Charmed” that is also premiering at 8 p.m.
