The second season of “Dr. Stone” is coming, and new updates are being released as its premiere gets closer. This will be an exciting season as it will show a new side of Senku. He has also become more mature and has acquired more Scientific knowledge, so the new installment will offer a hectic storyline.
“Dr. Stone” season 2 was immediately renewed after the first season, with 24 episodes concluded in December 2019. Its renewal was formally announced through a trailer that also broke the news that it will feature the “Stone Wars” arc.
The video also dropped some hints as to what the audience will see in the new episodes. In one scene, Senku, Chrome, and General were shown doing the fist bump and promising to fight together until the end. With this, fans got the idea that a war will break out, and the three of them will engage in the battle side by side.
Plot summary
Earlier this month, TMS Entertainment unveiled the newest teaser of “Dr. Stone” season 2, and it showed Senku leading the kingdom for a final battle against Tsukasa's empire. This battle will be Science vs. force, and it seems to have been titled the “Kingdom of Science! All forces advance!”
Tsukasa does not believe in Science, so he will definitely use force to attack Senku and his friends. On the other hand, the leader of the Kingdom of Science will utilize many gadgets, tools, and strategies that they discovered or made through experiments and scientific formulas.
The series will also show Senku building new civilization while also trying to save those who were affected by the petrification that happened thousands of years ago. Tsukasa may also attempt to form another kingdom as well, and this may be why the story arc for the second season is called “Stone Wars.”
Release date
Meanwhile, TMS Entertainment finally posted the release date for “Dr. Stone” season 2. Based on the poster and trailer, fans will be able to watch this anime again, starting in January 2021. The exact date is still unavailable, but this may be announced a few weeks before the scheduled premiere.
